With the world shut down, the streets empty and desolate, Drab germinated in a musty New Orleans storage locker, and a ritual that began as a release from isolation became an exorcism of the paranoia and dystopian fear that pervaded the times. An infernal collection of songs was birthed from this backdrop in an old olive drab Masonic Temple-made-recording studio in Covington, LA with the help of producer Jack Miele, and since the release of their self-titled debut album, Drab has established themselves as titans of the New Orleans underground rock and metal scenes. 

Fresh off of their first tour, they played shows supporting Soulfly, Pallbearer, YOB, Cherubs, and were voted #1 Album Of 2022 by Rock-N-Review in what became a meteoric first two years. Growing leaner, meaner, darker and heavier as their new material unfolded with twists and turns, their cogently released singles and unique surrealist visuals caught the eye of Grammy winning UK producer Adrian Bushby (Muse, Placebo, Foo Fighters), who then joined forces with Drab to produce 'Tyrannic' (2024), their most pivotal single to date, and shortly after signed with Italian metal label Wormholedeath Records. 

Whether it’s a name that evokes the mundane and dreary, or the dregs of 16th century gutters and brothels, Drab’s music is anything but what the name might imply. It's a steel blade that is only getting sharper with time.
